Have an Unforgettable Swim with the Dolphins at the Miami Seaquarium

The Miami Seaquarium offers visitors the best of both fun water activity and aquatic wildlife. It is open all year round and features new renovations, spectacular attractions and special value-added admissions.

Year-round entertainment

Delight in the aquatic splendor of Discovery Bay which houses Nile crocodiles as well as the Shark Channel where you can observe brown nurse sharks and other shark species up close. Be entertained at the Golden Dome by Salty the seal and the Reef Rangers in the Sea Lion Show. Dolphins, meanwhile, take center stage in the Flipper the Dolphin Show at the Flipper Lagoon.

The Miami Seaquarium hold yearly spectacular entertainment which include the Winter Kids Fest, an Easter Egg Hunt, Monster Splash Halloween Bash and Splashtacular Summer events.

Dolphin Odyssey

The Sequarium's major attraction is still the Whale & Dolphin Stadium which stars Lolita and her Pacific dolphin cast. Their "Swim with our Dolphins Program" continues to amaze local visitors and tourists alike with their Dolphin Odyssey and Dolphin Encounter programs which feature one-on-one close encounter with these gentle marine mammals.

The Dolphin Odyssey program offers you an exhilarating and up-close 1 ½ hour excursion into the world of dolphin behavior. A 15-minute educational presentation is provided before entering the water. A shallow-water encounter includes touching, feeding and photo session with a dolphin.

You'll get more interaction as you swim in deeper water and have the opportunity to ride a dolphin all across the pool. While visitors should bring their own bathing suits, wetsuits and towels are provided during the session.

Dolphin Encounter

The Dolphin Encounter experience provides an exciting adventure while interacting and learning with highly-intelligent dolphins. This shallow-water program offers a fun-filled way for the old and the young to get up-close and personal with these smart aquatic mammals.

The program includes a 15-minute classroom tutorial before entering the water. The shallow-water encounter includes touching, playing and feeding of the dolphin. You will also discover how it is like to train a dolphin at a very intimate and personal level.

Participants should be at least 5 years old and should be able to comprehend directions in the English language. Children 9 years old and below should be accompanied by an adult participant. Only a maximum of 28 participants are allowed per session.

The Swim with our Dolphins Program is available everyday but reservation is necessary in order to participate as spaces are taken up fast.
